Planning notes
Standard US base cabinets are 34½" tall and 24" deep; with a typical 1½" countertop the work surface sits at about 36".
Drawer bases are the most useful storage near the cooktop and dishwasher: deep lower drawers for pots and pans, a shallow top drawer for utensils.
