- Kitchen projects and room scans are designed to stay on your device unless you choose to sync or share them.
- We never sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
Who we are
This website (openkitchen3d.com) and the OpenKitchen3D apps are operated by theLodgeStudio ("we", "us"). Questions: labs@laan.com.
This website
When you visit, our hosting provider automatically processes standard technical information — IP address, browser and device type, referring page and pages viewed — to deliver and secure the site. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — which pages are visited and how people find the site. It sets cookies in your browser; we do not use it for advertising or to identify you, and you can block it with your browser settings or an extension without affecting the site. The site has no signup or contact forms. If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply.
The planner and apps
The planner is local-first: projects are stored on your device (for example in browser storage or the app's documents) and exports are generated on your device. If you choose to sign in, sync or create a share link, the project data needed for that feature is stored with our cloud provider so it can be delivered to you or the people you share with.
Room scans, camera and LiDAR
On iPhone and iPad, the app uses the camera and LiDAR through Apple RoomPlan and ARKit only while you are scanning or using AR preview. Scan data is processed on your device and saved with your project. It is not uploaded unless you sync or share that project.
Service providers
We use Google Firebase / Google Cloud to host this site and to provide optional sync and sharing. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.
Retention and your rights
Local projects are yours to keep or delete. For anything stored in the cloud on your behalf, you can ask us to access, export or delete it by emailing labs@laan.com. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA) you may have additional rights, which we will honour.
Children
OpenKitchen3D is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We will update this page as the apps ship and features change, and revise the date above when we do.
