Built in the open, in phases
Design and sales tools come first. Manufacturing output comes later, as a separately validated track — we won't promise CNC-ready files before they've been built in a real shop.
-
Phase 0 · Foundation
In progress- –Project and catalog schema v0.1
- –Millimetre units and coordinate conventions
- –Procedural base, wall and tall cabinet geometry
- –Licence register for every dependency and asset
Done when: One parametric cabinet renders identically in plan, elevation and 3D, and survives save/reload.
-
Phase 1 · Designer MVP
Next- –Generic starter catalog
- –Base, wall, tall and appliance placement
- –Wall snapping, adjacency snapping and run ordering
- –Cabinet inspector, undo/redo, multi-edit
- –RoomPlan import contract
Done when: A user can accurately reproduce a measured galley or L-shaped kitchen.
-
Phase 2 · Kitchen intelligence
Planned- –Corner cabinets and fillers
- –Automatic countertops, toe-kicks and end panels
- –Islands and peninsulas
- –Elevation editor
- –Clearance and swing validation
Done when: Straight, L, U, galley and island fixtures pass deterministic solver tests.
-
Phase 3 · Sales & documents
Planned- –BOM and cabinet schedule
- –Price book with markup and tax
- –Plan, elevation and estimate PDF
- –Client presentation and share links
- –CSV and GLB export
- –iPhone & iPad app on the App Store
Done when: A designer can produce a customer-ready proposal without another application.
-
Phase 4 · Open catalog ecosystem
Later- –Catalog authoring and import tool
- –Catalog validation and versioning
- –Localisation and multi-currency
- –Optional hosted catalog registry
Done when: A third party can publish a catalog without changing application code.
-
Phase 5 · Manufacturing beta
Later- –Construction recipes and part decomposition
- –Cut lists, labels and sheet optimisation
- –DXF part export
- –Experimental machine post-processors
Done when: Outputs are reviewed and physically built by cabinetmakers. CNC stays beta until tested per machine.
